Today me and Holly filmed our videos for the end of our music video while Jas stayed inside and worked on the CD cover and Advertisement. We located it on a doorstep; this doorstep is owned by a friend who gave us permission to shoot there for this project. We did this so that it looked like ‘Emily’ was leaving her house to meet ‘Tom’.

The first shot is of a closeup of ‘Emily’ pulling a key out of her door. This was meant to look like that she had just left her house and locked up.

The next view is an over the shoulder shot looking down ‘Emily’s’ path and watching ‘Tom’ arrive. He pulls out a bunch of flowers to give to ‘Emily’ from behind his back.He is extremely happy to see her and has a huge smile on his face.

The next video is a follow on from this but an over the shoulder reaction shot of ‘Emily’. She does not seem to happy to receive these flowers and we see her drop them. The camera angle switches to a side view of the flowers falling and hitting the ground.

This is effective because it makes it obvious to the audience that she is not happy to see him and normally when receiving a bunch of flowers you would not drop them on the floor. This changes the tone of the whole video because now we know that the relationship between the characters has changed and now the song is about relationships not working out. This is also shown within the desktop characters made by objects and plaster scene.

This is only part of the videos complete. On Thursday we will shoot the happy scenes that go near the beginning of the video. We will also shoot the transition videos where we move from one picture to another in the sketch book.
